three defeats! :)) :))

Nanalo kami sa UAAP basketball at swimming. I'm congratulating them now because I'm going to talk about defeats that I saw my school experience.

While we're happy for these wins, we're mourning our loss at the seniors' basketball game against UST yesterday. My classmates are ventilating and dissing the trophy, claiming it was ugly, just to ease the pain of sadness that they feel. I remember watching the first half of the game in school, when Ateneo was still in the lead. I rode my school bus, slept there. Waking up at the front of our house, I heard kuya Mike say to my mom, "natalo tayo." Mom was still happy. My brother studies in Santo Tomas. :))

Mass today, UAAP being mentioned from start to finish. Announcement of Diyaryo Drive winners followed. It was amazing, 13 sections tied in second place, I think. Our class lost again. Last year, it was sad because Mr. Villegas said that his moderating classes always had the lowest amount of newspapers. This year, it was sad because it was our parents who had to tell us to stop bringing newspapers, because they said that it was us who needed the money and we weren't active in newspaper-bringing anyway. We're poor because: 1) Not everybody was paying the class funds, and 2) the class funds are always consumed by the soirees. I thought our class is banner-hungry! I found this sadder than our UAAP loss. :))

A "B" in conduct? I think my mom still has not gotten over with my English conduct mark, and the thought that she is not at peace with the reasons my teacher gave haunts me. I definitely didn't mean Ms. Paliza or anyone offense when I "seemed sleepy, unattentive, and uninterested." My lame excuses: I'm sorry that I have to wake up as early as 4 to go to school in order to be fetched by my school bus and arrive at home as late as 6, and I'm sorry that it was only during the most crucial year of my high school life when I had to adjust to this kind of transportation. This B hurts more than my C in Filipino. Notice that I'm not laughing anymore.
