World AIDS Day

It's World AIDS Day on December 1, and let's wise up and wear the red ribbon. I have no idea if I'm going to wear one this year offline, but I'm going to do it at least here in my blog. As for protecting yourself against the disease, I believe that the really best key to be HIV-free is abstinence, so I'm establishing a disclaimer that I don't support everything in the red ribbon site, including the ones that support sex before marriage, i. e., using a condom for the mere sake of pleasure.

Ever After

Bonnie Bailey's song Ever After never ceased to make me dance, the song we danced into during the sophomores' night, the song Caloy and RX 93.1 untroduce to me. Shame I didn't hear the word "still" in the song, that's why I used to sing the song incompletely.

A lot of people request for it in the radio and search for its mp3 and lyrics over the internet. Maybe a lot of people would go to my blog if i include the lyrics of the song here. Haha. As I searched for the lyrics of this song, guess whose blog I got into. Tina Panganiban-Perez! She's loving the song as well. Here's my 2nd posting of full lyrics since BoA's My Name.

Three years ago my journey began
Chasing down this cure, no plan in hand
Just your pulse, my racing guide in the dark
Just knowing with conviction from the start

The moment your eyes made an introduction
I felt my second violent breath of life
Flawless to the point of being godly
Yet I fell hard for your imperfections

Chorus
And now we're slightly weathered, we're slightly worn
Our hands grip together eye to eye through the storm yet
I still believe in ever after with you, yeah
Coz life is a pleasure with you by my side
And there ain't no current in this river we can't ride
I still believe in ever after with you

Nothing compares to the good times
Feels like we're floating when the rest have to climb
You made me believe in love and not the perfect kind
A real messy beautiful twisted sunshine
Emotions volcanic eruptions
We both still care so we're still alive
Tunnel vision, determination
I want you I want to make it right

Confessions of a Broken Heart

Lindsay did it! She wore heavy black eyeliners! You know, I really dig women who wear heavy black eyeliners. I just love the Cleopatra look! Besides her eyes, I also enjoy the emotional song. I'm going to sing it in my post today, for my heart experienced a lot today. My brother (not my biological brother Lemuel) broke my heart today, but it was more of my fault because I talked to him with prejudice. I got a surprising response from him in return, which was heavy for my heart. It was a long story, and my other brothers witnessed it. Go figure if you can.

O mi hermano, o mi hermano
Le prejuzgue
, I am sorry
O mi hermano, o mi hermano
Estoy gritando, perd
oneme and
These are, these are
Confessions of a broken heart

Oh, I forgot to mention my lyrics are in Spanglish. And for the record, I'm not really heartbroken. It's just a hurt.

My brothers offered me backup if ever the first brother I mentioned would clash at me again. I just keep on saying yes, but I'll only need their ears to borrow just to say to them if I'm hurt. I don't want them to fight back at him because it's not really worth it. Besides, as the song continues, I continue to sing to my brother:

I love you
I love you
I... I love you

I can't believe that my carelessness would further divide my classmates. What I really wanted for them is to unite. Sigh.

Yae Victis

I saw my brother's blog today. He told what happened when I went to my classmate's house on Commonwealth. He said that I was clueless on what to do when I arrived at the gate. Well, he's right. It's pretty humiliating for me that he had to embarrass me on his blog, but it's better compared to finding out that you're best friend spread a rumor and someone we're all ready going steady when you're actually not. As for the others, I don't exactly know. I have to go know. Andami pang takda!

And You Said that Christian Songs are Boring

Well, that's where you made a mistake. Relient K, Switchfoot, and Jars of Clay's songs are so not boring. It broke my heart for you to say that. Take a look at what happened at the secular music performance that happened four days ago. It didn't turn out very well. Take a note that I'm not putting the blame on the band (like I did on Sponge Cola), but on the weak microphone that was operated by a retro karaoke machine and defeated by the amplified electric guitar. A contemporary Christian performance could have been more interesting to listen for a change. It's better singing, "I'm more than fine" (Switchfoot - More Than Fine) than singing, "I'm not f***ing okay," (My Chemical Romance - I'm Not Okay*) which is so not true. Gee whiz. I don't know what's the sense of saying this right now, for you're not even reading this post, but I'm pouring my heart out on this post just to say that Christ, and the people He's working through to show His glory through Christian songs, was, is, and will never be boring.

*Hello, Paolo. Despite your statement, I can tell from where I'm sitting that your veins are still in perfect condition.
