Brand-new LSS

Shucks, I'm still hooked on this Idol phenomenon even after my favorites Becky O'Donohue and Ayla Brown were eliminated. Well, you know that my first venture into the other Idols besides that of AI, with the help of YouTube, was in Indian Idol, were the studio audience went mad after Amey Date's (whom they thought the Indian Idol would be) elimination. I've browsed more clips, then the next Idol franchise to give me the Idol fever was Indonesian Idol. They sang this song called Cintaku, and it's become one of my swift LSS's. The lyrics and the video of the song is right down below.

Kan ku jalin lagu
Bingkisan kalbuku
Bagi insan dunia
Yang mengagungkan cinta

Betapa nikmatnya
Di cumbu asmara
Bagai embun pagi
Yang menyentuh rerumputan

Cinta, akan ku berikan
Bagi hatimu yang damai
Cintaku, gelora asamara
Seindah lembayung senja

Tiada ada yang kuasa
Melebihi indahnya
Nikmat bercinta

Also, I'm happy to inform na mayroon nang Philippine Idol, July 2006 on ABC! Whoopee!
I'm freakin' excited! Hahahaha.

Reality TV never got this real... up to date! (edit)

Curiosity struck me out of nowhere. I suddenly wondered how the Idol franchise is done in other countries. And I decided to watch a results show of Indian Idol. It was only supposed to be contestants promoting a product, hosts chit-chatting with the judges, announcing the contestant who gets the boot later. A video would then be played paying tribute to how far the eliminated contender has come, then he would sing one final song. A modification of this was audiences booing to the outcome. I thought the audience could reach only up to that point. But no.

Amey Date was voted off, and the judges didn't handle it well. They walked out of their seats and went straight to their dressing room. While that happened, some of the audience started roaring, "Amey! Amey!" while most of them gathered at the exit, where people blocked them. Hosts begged the audience to sit down. One of them went to the judges to bring them back to stage. One judge wanted the producers to give the contestants a rematch. A relative of a contestant held a mic, saying that it was unfair for his relative contestant. Date finally tames the crowd by saying he won't sing at the rematch and he accepts the results. One judge promised him to give him a singing career. Then a host said that this should serve as a wake-up call for India. that they should vote next time.

What I found funny was that the contestants sounded the same when they were singing. Their appearances also had resemblances, but still, some of them had to stand out. Amey sure did, but his fans didn't vote enough. I saw reality TV unveil reality before my eyes. It made me excited for the Philippine Idol. Watch out for me. Hahaha. I just found out that the show's going to be aired July 2006! I am so freakin' excited!

My Movie

Take this quiz at QuizGalaxy.com

Hallelujah! Hahaha. I saw it from Saul's blog. I took the test and I love the title.

I recently developed my interest for two bands: Up Dharma Down and Pumping Pluto. Sweet! Must buy Fragmented. Must keep them no. 1!

Happy birthday, Paul! It's your first birthday in Canada! Swell! Wishing you more birthdays to come. :)

We had our class' family day yesterday. What happened in the itinerary was parlor games, band performance, and food consumption. Sayang, wala 'yung tattoo. How I wish I was a vocalist of our class band, but they really don't want me to be one. Sigh. Ang tagal ko nang walang gig. I wasn't able to come to audition for prompters for Jzone because I didn't receive a text message. Blame on me for not writing my cell-phone number legibly. Sigh, sigh.

Please do press play. I've been blessed in hearing this song, and so will you. This song has been sort of my theme song, when I felt God's presence when I was still in first year high school. :P

Delayed Obedience

I promised to give three things to my three classmates, and I haven't fulfilled one of them. All of them are below, and hopefully I will be able to give it to them in third year. We're classmates, anyway:

[ ] A notation of our song for Music presentation entitled Nasa'n Ka, Kaibigan for Ryan

[ ] Jumbo sex bands for Brian

[ ] A VCD/DVD copy of the Christmas party performance of 2M's band, I Forgot, for Paolo

I hope you'll be patient, guys.

Looking back...

I'm so happy that school's over, and a very happy school year took place. I'm so grateful to God for four things that happened to me during that second year:

1. Getting a C+in Filipino (first term). Yes, it's not a very high score (80-84), but it was a miracle because I was flunking most of the Noli Me Tangere quizzes already, yet I was still able to get a third honor award.

2. Getting an A in Music (first term). It's this subject that really pulled my QPI high. Part of getting this A is getting a score of 102% in our Music presentation.

3. Winning second place in a dance competition (third term). The battle was called Krismaskipaps, and it was only among the sections of every batch. All those times I've wasted my time performing like BoA in my bedroom finally paid off, the payment in a form of a second place banner. Just when I thought what my bedroom routine was wala lang! You see, I lip-synched the song Sa Iyo by Sarah Geronimo, holding a microphone while we were dancing, and there was a time that I went off the stage to get closer to the judges which made the audience roar. After that performance, people come up to me saying that they had no idea that I would do such a thing, because I'm this boy who's so quiet in class, being kind as much as I can. Our section didn't win second place because the dance steps were awesome (the first place winners 2L were doing so many handstands! \m/), but because of the audience impact that the performance had. Thank you.

4. Winning third place in a song competition (third term). This time, the battle's called Awit Nasyonalista, where an original composition about being a modern hero is written and performed by the students. It was cool that Ryan Cayabyab's wife was able to judge us. My keyboarding sucked at that time, but still, our score was pulled up by the beautiful lyrics Jerwin wrote. Awesome God!

Many, many things really happened, but I can't enumerate them all now, for this post's too long already. I wonder what would happen in third year?

What happens when you tell everybody that classes are suspended

Well, more than ten people reply. Most of them find it as a funny joke, some thought it wasn't a funny joke, while some ask if I'm serious. Y!M windows flooded my computer right after I sent the group message. When this coup thing happened, my Filipino pride slipped away. Whatever happened to the dictator-free country that our brethren fought for twenty years ago. But still pray for our leaders in the government now.

Ayla

(c)2006 FOX

Sigh. Why are my favorite girls leaving American Idol one by one? Ano ba 'yan! I anticipated that Ayla might get the boot after all the girls' performance. All of them were great for me, but lots of them had to be greater, and Ayla wasn't one of them. I did enjoy her performance, though, because I'm not hard to please. I had pity on her when she cried, because she worked so hard for this. America blew it. I am so gonna download her performance of Unwritten and enjoy it as much as I had LSS on Becky's Because the Night. Oh yeah!
